Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026.

This policy explains which data Lang Horizon collects on this site, why it collects it, how long it keeps it and how you can exercise your rights. It covers the processing of personal data within the meaning of Algerian law no. 18-07 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Lang Horizon, 541 Logts, Cité LSP, Ouled Fayet, Cheraga, Algiers 16094, Algeria. For any question about your data: contact@langhorizon.com.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you send us through one of the two forms on the site, plus the technical data that any connection produces.

Contact form

  • Name, email address, phone number.
  • The nature of your project, the destination you have in mind and the content of your message.

  • Contact details: email, phone, postal address and country of residence.
  • The legal guardian’s details when the applicant is under 18.
  • Project: destination, programme or language, level, institution, preferred period, preferred accommodation.
  • The language levels you declare.
  • Passport data: number, dates of issue and expiry, place and country of issue.
  • Your visa situation and the proof of funds you declare having.
  • What you expect from the agency and, where applicable, your free-text message.

Technical data

Our server logs record the IP address, the date and time of the connection and the pages visited, for security and for the proper running of the site.

3. Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry and put forward programmes that fit your project.
  • To assemble your application file and submit it to the institution you have chosen.
  • To support you through the processing of your file and guide you through the steps.
  • To follow up on the relationship, keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.

Processing rests on your consent, given through the checkboxes on the forms, and on carrying out the steps you ask us to take. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without calling into question what has already been processed.

4. Required fields

Fields marked with an asterisk are needed to handle your request. The others are optional: leaving them empty costs you no service, but an incomplete file takes more back and forth.

5. Who has access

  • The Lang Horizon advisers handling your file.
  • The institution you have chosen, so that it can review your application.
  • Our technical providers (hosting, email), only as far as their service requires.
  • Administrative or judicial authorities, only where the law obliges us.

We neither sell nor rent your data, and we pass it to no commercial partner for marketing purposes.

6. Transfers outside Algeria

The institutions we submit applications to are abroad, in particular in Malta and in France. Submitting your file therefore involves transferring your data to those countries, on the basis of your consent and limited to the documents needed to review your application. Institutions located in the European Union process that data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

7. How long we keep it

  • Contact enquiries: three years from the last exchange.
  • Application files: three years from the last exchange, or the length of your support if that is longer.
  • Technical logs: twelve months.

After those periods the data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Security

Access to files is limited to the people who need it, exchanges with the site are encrypted and the forms are protected against automated submissions. Since no arrangement is infallible, please send a copy of a passport or of a financial document only when an adviser explicitly asks for it.

9. Your rights

You have a right of access, rectification, objection and erasure over the data concerning you, and the right to withdraw your consent.

To exercise them, write to contact@langhorizon.com or to the postal address above, setting out your request. We reply within forty-eight working hours. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can refer the matter to the Algerian national authority for the protection of personal data.

10. Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookie and uses no third-party analytics. One cookie is set, to remember the language you picked so you do not have to choose it again on every visit. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect a change to the site or to the regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
